Megastructure Incense Burner

Carl Sagan said there are 100 Billion galaxies each with 100 Billion stars. Which is your favorite star?

Our favorite is a very special star KIC 8462852 thought to be mixed up in some kind of relationship with an alien megastructure. While we can't go into greater detail we'd like to share with you the miniature version we made of the components that make up the megastructure's energy collection units.

DETAILS: We handmade this two-piece incense burner out of heavy black steel printed with a metallic celestial star pattern. Each set contains a flat metal plate with insulated rubber feet and a vertical ventilated smoke stack all packaged in a fabric transport satchel, with a two pack sample of our BLACKBIRD incense to get you started.

DIMESIONS: base 2-1/2" X 6-1/2", smoke stack 6-1/2" H X 2-1/4" W

TO USE: Place burner on safe and stable surface away from children and pets. Select incense and place on plate, light until tip of cone turns red, blow out and place megastructure over cone with ventilation hole near the base. Wash burner after 2-4 uses for best performance.

CARE: Hand wash often with dish soap to remove residual oils and debris. Towel dry thoroughly.

HOW TO BURN CONE INCENSE

  1. Select a heat resistant burner such as a traditional cone incense burner, stone, seashell, tile or dish.
  2. Place burner on a stable surface away from flamable objects, children and pets.

  3. Carefully light the tip of the cone and let burn for 10 to 15 seconds until an ember has formed and then blow out.

  4. Allow to smoke until the cone has burned all the way through.

  5. Dispose of ash in water to prevent risk of fire.

  6. Keep your burner clean by scooping ash or washing away residue. Salt and sand make great bases for your burner.
