The Parrino Leather Jacket is like an anthology of Rick Owens' skill and craft. Brandishing a mish mash of fabrics (leather, cotton, spandex, rayon and silk) not to mention a devious collage of design and function, this piece is a true testimonial to the architecture of clothing.
The sleeves run long and are of a lightweight cotton that curves slightly inward toward the body. The curved front zipper is inspired by leather motorcycle racing jackets. Ginormous left side stash pocket (running from shoulder to waist) accommodates a thermos of coffee, a footlong sandwich and bottle of wine easily. The inside features a shoulder strap and two hidden stash pockets for flasks and other paraphernalia. Flight jacket details include vertical leather quilted windflap behind front zipper and left shoulder pen holder and zip pouch. Then there's the zip closure laptop size storage pocket on the back. A swiss army knife spray painted black of jacket design.
"Naska", the Rick Owens Spring/Summer 2012 collection, is a totally exquisite experience in clothing design and wearability. Though this is typically par for the course with Rick Owens, we think you will especially agree with us this season as the comfort and functionality of each piece dares even the most mundane tasks to be done while clad in them.
